UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF PRAYER & FASTING (1A)

“Prayer is a must for all believers”

Prayer and Fasting is commanded for specific benefits. (Isa. 58:6-8)

Fulfillment of prophecies is one of the benefits Prayer and Fasting.

If your approach is wrong in any matter, you will get a wrong result.



Profitable  Approach to Fasting
1. Define your goals while fasting. (Pro. 23:18, Ezra 8:21-23)

 2. Prepare to engage your heart in seeking God. (Jer. 29:13)

 3. Refuse to be offended in God and in men. (Mat. 11:6)

 4. We must come confessing and forsaking our sins. (Ps. 66:18, Pro. 15:29, Isa. 55:6-7, Jn. 9:31, Jam. 4:3, Jn. 8:11, Mat. 12:44)
Blessedness of Prayer and Fasting

 It facilitates deliverance from all unwanted habits. (Jud. 16:18)

 2. It facilitates answers to our prayers. (Isa. 58:9)

 3. Secures favour from God.    (Est. 4:16, Neh. 2:8)

 4. It empowers fulfilment of prophecies (1 Kgs 17:1)

 5. It builds our prayer life.
JESUS IS LORD!!!
